Institutional and individual attitudes and practices towards people with disability (PWD) in general and females with disabilities (FWD) in particular are exclusive in nature, the dominant culture carries alot of negative meanings, practices, and languages that make their way into the formal justice system and through laws and policies. As alot of these practices, in addition to existing social structures create barriers towards the access of FWD to the justice system.
This study, aims to shed light on institutional policies and practices, physical enviroments, and social attitudes, and their effects on the access of FWD to the justice sector. The study also focuses on the reality of FWD and how they interact with these challenges, and the study also puts forth proposed interventions to reduce barriers towards accessing justice services
