The Center for Development Studies and the Master’s Program in Community Development held a talk entitled “The experience and role of civil society organizations in confronting the genocidal war on Gaza.” The talked featured Eng. Tayseer Muhaisen, an expert in civil society issues, and Mr. Amjad Al-Shawa, Director of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network in the Gaza Strip (PNGO). The talk was held on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. The talk included participation from representatives of Palestinian civil society and community organizations, including broad participation of representatives of organizations in the Gaza Strip. The discussion focused on the reality of the Gaza Strip in light of the genocidal war, the working methods and the challenges faced by civil society organizations in light of the shiting situation. Participants have also called for expanding and intensifying community dialogue to enhance unity and develop shared visions towards confronting existential challenges faced by Palestinians.
